The plan limits behind an AI series

The slow lane costs time, not credits

Five tools on the sheet let video generate without spending credits: Runway in Unlimited Mode, DomoAI and Midjourney in Relax Mode, Vidu in a free Off-Peak Mode and OpenArt in unlimited generation. From 5 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Fig. 1 The first 5 of the 6 readings are drawn; the table lists them all.

The first three say the exchange is time; Vidu's page gives a daily cap instead, and OpenArt's says only that heavy users may be moved to a slower queue.

Runway's help article is the most exact: slower to start, fewer at a time, and credits mode for anything that needs speed. Midjourney's relax lane is fixed at 3 video prompts at once.

On a series, split the work by urgency: shots holding up an edit go in the paid lane, alternatives and experiments go in the slow one.

Generations in Unlimited Mode may take longer to start and run fewer at a time; for faster generations and more simultaneous generations, switch to Credits Mode.

2Scaling up, as one tool tells it

Limits aside, the series work behind “The slow lane costs time, not credits” is described in SceneMixer's guides like this:

An AI short drama is a serialized show of 60–120 second vertical episodes whose cast, sets and footage are generated by AI. Making one takes six steps: analyze the script into episodes, lock a consistent cast with reference art, localize for your market, write and edit storyboards, generate each 4–15 second shot, then composite and publish.

Sheets are generated inside a project, from the cast that analysis found, because their purpose is to be reused by that project's shots.
