Splitting a season into projects
How a series is split into projects decides which limits bite. Runway caps projects at 3 on Standard and 5 on Pro, which is fewer than the episodes of most seasons if each episode is its own project. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Kapwing allows unlimited projects on paid plans, and LTX Studio counts collaborators per project, 3 on Pro, so a project can also be the unit that decides who works on what.
Where a page sets a project cap, a series may fit better as one project with episodes inside it; where collaborators are per project, separate projects may suit separate crews.
Whichever split is chosen, keep it for the whole season. Moving episodes between projects halfway through means rebuilding references, character images and settings in the new project, and the pages read say nothing about moving work from one project to another.

2Scaling up, as one tool tells it
Limits aside, the series work behind “Splitting a season into projects” is described in SceneMixer's guides like this:
16:9 landscape (SceneMixer's default) and 9:16 vertical (the usual short-drama frame), chosen per project.

The project has one dialogue language; lines you write in another language are spoken as written after a confirmation.
