Permanent deletion of AI video files
Permanent deletion means a deleted file cannot be recovered by you or by the maker. There is no bin and no request that brings it back. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Luma says deleting content is permanent and removes it from the account entirely. SceneMixer says there is no restore, not in the app and not by asking.
Pippit is the counter-example on the sheet: deleted drafts and videos can be recovered for up to 30 days.
Where deletion is permanent, cleaning an account to save space should come after the local copies are made, not before.
Deletion also meets the storage allowance. On plans where every file counts against the space, deleting old takes is the only way to make room, and a permanent delete leaves no way back if a take is needed after all. Download first, then clear the account.
